A little over a year ago, we started working on our fourth album, Hypnic Jerk. We just got the master tracks back from Saff Mastering in Chicago and couldn't be more proud of our work. It's hard to believe that this project started as a drunken idea, "lemme record 30 songs in 30 days". Now our thoughts are, "Next step: Vinyl." Fucking awesome.

New Drummer

As we count the days until Hypnic Jerk's release we've been experiencing some ongoing happenings and changes with House of Bread. First of all, Carl Saff is working on mastering the album before it gets sent off to the printing press.

We're sorry to see Eric Frank leave, however, we know he's going to be working on and concentrating on some incredibly exciting projects. Be sure to check out the other band he has been playing with for a number of years, Wooden Satellites. Good luck with everything Eric!

Taking Eric's place will be a long time collaborater and bandmate-many-times-over, Phil Arbogast. Phil lent his drumming skills to 2 of the tracks that will be featured on Hypnic Jerk. Bob and I have also played with him in All Nite Skate, Castles, and Suck At Sports. During the coming weeks, we're planning on dusting off and reworking some very old House of Bread material that either hasn't been played in quite some time or never at all. Be sure to check out Phil's solo project, DromemorD. Welcome aboard Phil!

Come out...It's this Saturday.
Here's a quote from Lyndy:

This Saturday (Jan. 30th) we will be having a
silent art auction to collect money for families
in Port Au Prince, Haiti who have lost their homes
and suffered injuries due to the recent earthquake.
The money will be going to three different families in the
devastated city who are our close family and friends.
With the money and other necessities (rice, beans, dried milk, tents,
medical supplies) we send to them, they will be able to
better care of themselves and their neighbors.
From the telephone conversations we have been able to have
with these families in Haiti, we have learned that small communities
are forming within the collapsed city and neighbors are taking care of
each other. People are uniting and potting their resources together
as one to provide as much as possible (not much) for their neighbors in need.
By sending money and well needed supplies down, we will not only be
providing for these three families, but also for the communities who
have begun to form around them.
All money made from the silent auction will be sent to Haiti
through Mustard Seed Ministries. My mother (Marialyn bazile)
will be flying to Haiti in two weeks and is having 1800lbs (so far)
of food and supplies shipped down behind her. Once the shipment
arrives, she will be able to disperse the goods to the families in need.
Please come out to Old Crown to support and celebrate the
Haitian spirit and experience an eclectic collection of
local art work. Old Crown has a full bar with classic mixed drinks and
a variety of beer and wine. This event will not only be a great
time to have on a Saturday night, but also a HUGE help
to the people of Port Au Prince.

Benefit Show For The Orphans in Burkina Fasso

Not long after End Times vocalist Lyndsy Rae Patterson left Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, heavy floods damaged the orphanage she had stayed at. In an area already suffering from a lack of clean water, floods carry serious health risks. This benefit will help a few select orphanages recover form the damage and provide their children the nutrition and medical attention they need right now. These children deserve a chance as much as anyone, and it's amazing how far just a little cash can go toward getting these kids healthy, educated, and one year closer to adulthood.

We are excited to say that the album is nearing completion. It's been two years in the works, and we could not be more happy in the way it's turning out. Stay tuned for news about a video project by John Hartman in conjunction with the CD release.
